Transiting via the USA

If you are travelling to Central or South America on one of our escorted group tours, your flights may transit via the United States of America. Common transit points include Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO) and Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) though other transit cities may be part of your itinerary.

All Australian passport holders are required to obtain an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) for entering the United States of America, even for transit purposes. Please check your flight itinerary carefully.

If required, please complete the ESTA application at least one week before you travel, as the processing time is generally 72 hours.

The fee for application is $21.00 USD and can be paid by credit card or PayPal.
