India e-Visa Instructions

All Wendy Wu group tours include the India e-Visa processing fee, unless you have opted to arrange this yourself. For private tours or short stays, the visa may not be included, please refer to your invoice. 

We require the documents listed below to apply for your e-Visa. Visa documents are due 60 days prior to departure. Applications will generally not be accepted within 28 days of departure. 

We do not require your physical passport - please do not send us your passport.

India e-Visa Application Checklist:

  • Email the above documents to: operationssupport@wendywutours.com.au and include your booking reference number (AUQxxxxxx) and name. 

Photo Requirements:

  • One photo. Size is 5cm high x 5cm wide.
  • Taken within the last 3 months and must different from the photo in your passport
  • JPEG format 
  • Against an all-white background
  • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centred in the middle
  • Include the top of the shoulders and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
  • Eyeglasses and headwear are not to be worn, except for religious purposes

We recommend obtaining a professional photo from any post office, photographer or photo kiosk. "Selfies" or photos taken that do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted by the Consulate. 

Basic Application Requirements:

  • Passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity left, from the date of your arrival back into Australia.
  • Scans must be coloured, clear and no information cut off. Photos taken via a phone will generally not be accepted.
  • The e-Visa validity period is 30 days from the date of arrival in India. Double entries will be granted within the e-Visa validity period stamped on your passport. If your require more than 2 entries, please advise us immediately. 
  • It is not valid for entry into India from Land Immigration Check Posts, only designated airports.
  • 30 days before your entry date into India, Wendy Wu Tours will apply for your e-Visa. Please note that applications cannot be processed any earlier, as tourist e-visa applications are only accepted by the Embassy 30 days in advance from your date of entry. 
  • If you have arrangements not booked through Wendy Wu Tours that will affect your visa (such as own arrangements before your tour with us), then please provide a detailed travel itinerary issued by a travel agent, airline or cruise company which includes your full name, the dates and places of entry and exit as well as the mode of transport to be used. 
  • Wendy Wu Tours includes the visa processing fee for Australian passport holders only. If you hold a passport of another nationality, additional fees may be required.

Visa Conditions

  • The Indian Embassy is strict about the presentation of applications. Including, but not limited to your passport validity or photo, if any documentation or material are incorrect then the consulate will reject the application. In this case, the customer will incur any urgent processing fees or tour cancellation costs. Wendy Wu Tours cannot accept responsibility for any failure in this respect.
  •  Applicant must carry Yellow Fever Vaccination Card if arriving from yellow fever affected countries.  
  • Wendy Wu Tours has no control over Consular decisions to issue visas. Once your application is submitted, the Consulate may require you to pay additional fees or provide further documents, information, and/or material. In some cases, the Consulate will require the applicant to submit their passport and visa application forms in person.
  • It is very important that you read the instruction sheet carefully. Please ensure you dispatch visa documents before the due date. If you believe your visa application may be rejected, then contact the Visa Department.
  • A passport with a minimum of six months validity is required for customers traveling to all countries in our programme. Visa fees are included for Australian passport holders in all fully inclusive group tours. Non-Australian passport holders will incur additional fees. In some cases, we may not be able to process your visa and you may be required to present in person at the local embassy or consulate.
  • Visa applications are due into Wendy Wu Tours no later than 60 days prior to departure. Please notify your travel agent or Wendy Wu Tours if you cannot make the deadline or choose to arrange your own visas.
  • Visa applications will generally not be accepted within 28 days prior to departure.
  • Unless otherwise requested, your e-Visa will be returned with final documentation approximately 2 – 3 weeks prior to your departure date. The e-Visa cannot be applied for more than 30 days before your entry date,
