Electricity (Central Asia)

In Central Asia, the standard voltage is 220 volts, though 240-volt appliances will also work safely with this supply. The frequency is generally 50Hz (depending on location). The main socket type is Type C, used in EU and has two round pins. Similarly, Type F can also be used and also has the round pins with two earth clips on the side.

Universal adapters are recommended. You can buy adapters from many hardware and department stores and also from duty free prior to departure.
