Customs and Duty Free (Zimbabwe)
When entering Zimbabwe, travelers are required to fill out a Customs Declaration Form. This form is typically provided upon arrival at the airport or border post, and it must be completed if you are carrying items that exceed the duty-free allowances or if you are carrying currency exceeding the allowed limit.
If you are not carrying items that need to be declared, you may pass through the "green channel" at customs. However, if you have items to declare, you will need to proceed through the "red channel."
It is advisable to be honest when completing the customs form and to declare any items that may exceed the duty-free limits or require special permits. Failing to declare items could result in fines or confiscation of goods.
Always check the latest customs guidelines before your trip, as regulations can change, and it’s advisable to confirm with local authorities or your airline. Additionally, keep receipts of purchases for high-value items in case you need to prove they were bought legally and within the allowable limits.
It is recommended that passengers consult the following websites before departure for up-to-date information on the quantity of alcohol/cigarettes that can be imported when you arrive home, as well as the amount of cash that may be carried without declaration:

New Zealand passengers: www.customs.govt.nz
