Currency (Armenia)

The official currency in Armenia is the Armenian Dram (AMD). Bank notes come in denominations of 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, 20000 and 50000. Coins come in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 Drams

Please Note:

• All foreign currency will need to be declared on arrival and departure.
• Ensure banknotes are in good condition before exchanging or accepting. Only use authorised foreign exchange providers.
• USD and Euros can be readily exchanged. 
• Credit cards and ATMs are widely used in Yerevan but less common outside major towns
