Climate (China)
We recommend you check weather conditions before you depart. With four distinct seasons, the ideal travel periods are spring (Mar to May) and autumn (Sep to Oct). Many people travel at other times of the year, but please bare in mind that the summer months may be very hot and winter
months may be very cold. Certain weather conditions could result in delays, changes or, in rare cases, cancellations to sections of your itinerary.
In an attempt to conserve energy, the Chinese government regulates the operation of centralised air conditioning. The cooling operation period is 5 months (from May to September) and the heating period is 4 months (from November 15th to March 15th). As a result, some hotels are not able to use the central controlled air conditioning during specified times regardless of how hot or cold the weather may be.
