China 15 Day Visa-free Travel Policy

Effective 01 July 2024, Australian and New Zealand passport holders will be eligible to travel to China for tourism purposes without a visa if their travel duration is no more than 15 days.

The 15 day visa-free travel policy begins on 01 July 2024 and will end on 31 December 2025.

If your travel to China exceeds 15 days in duration, you will need to apply for an L-type tourist visa. Please see China Physical Visa Instructions for more information.
