China E-Arrival form
All travellers to China (except cruise passengers) need to complete the E-Arrival Entry Form prior to entry. You can complete the form within 3 months of entry, however we recommend waiting until you receive your final documents (approx. 3 weeks before departure) as you will need your hotel information.
The form can be accessed here (opens in new window).
You will need to upload your passport copy and arrival flight number to complete the form. After clicking the link above, please select the blue 'Entry Declaration' pod.
Complete the questions. If you are an Australian passport holder staying less than 30 days, or hold another passport valid for visa-free travel to China, for the question "Do you hold a valid visa or other entry permit?" please select NO and then "visa-free entry".
Your address in China is your first hotel (please refer to your final travel documents). For the question "Do you have any inviting entities or inviters in China?", if you are travelling under the visa-free policy, you can select NO.
After completing the form, a QR code will appear. On this page, you have the option to save the QR code to your device as a PDF, or send to your email. Please have the accessible for the immigration agent when you enter China.
Note: Travellers are exempt from completing the e-arrival form if they are transiting in China or for cruise passengers who are entering and exiting from the same vessel.
