Chile e-Visa Instructions

All Wendy Wu group tours include the Chile e-Visa processing fee for Australian passport holders, unless you have opted to arrange this yourself. 

We require the documents listed below to apply for your e-Visa. Documents are due no later than 75 days prior to departure. Applications for the Chile visa will generally not be accepted within 65 days of departure due to the processing time required. 

Chile e-Visa Application Checklist:

  • 1 x coloured scan of passport bio page 
  • 1 x coloured scan of an original photo per person – see photo requirements below. This cannot be the same photograph as on your passport bio page.
  • 1 x bank statement from the last 3 months or proof of your financial situation (last three salary slips and/or bank statements with their movements)*. Please erase your account number. 
  • 1 x completed application form per passenger. 
  • A copy of your flight itinerary (if your flights are not booked through Wendy Wu Tours)
  • Own Arrangements prior to tour - must provide proof of accommodation. 
  • Email the above documents to: operationssupport@wendywutours.com.au and include your booking reference number (AUQxxxxxx) and name. 

*Please note, this is a mandatory requirement to apply for the Chile e-Visa. Your visa documentation will be destroyed upon approval of your visa application. Basic Application Requirements:

  • Passports must have a minimum of 9 months validity left, from the date of your arrival in Chile.
  • Scans must be coloured, clear and no information cut off. 
  • The Chile e-Visa validity period is multiple entries for stays of up to 90 days from the date of arrival in Chile.
  • If you have arrangements not booked through Wendy Wu Tours that will affect your visa (such as own arrangements before your tour with us), then please provide a detailed travel itinerary issued by a travel agent, airline or cruise company which includes your full name, the dates and places of entry and exit as well as the mode of transport to be used. 
  • Wendy Wu Tours includes the visa processing fee for Australian passport holders only. If you hold a passport of another nationality, additional fees may be required.

Photo Requirements:

  • One photo. Standard size is 5cm high x 5cm wide.
  • Photos must be professionally taken and can be obtained from any post office, photographer or photo kiosk.
  • “Professional” means taken by a photographer. Home versions won’t be accepted.
  • Professional photograph showing close up of head and top of shoulders are visible.
  • Photograph must be no more than 6 months old
  • Photograph cannot match the photograph in your passport.
  • Must be in colour on high quality paper, with no ink or marks on the image.
  • Plain, light-coloured background (e.g, white, or light cream).
  • Original coloured photo is required, no copies of any kind.
  • Must show applicant looking directly at camera with neutral expression.
  • Must show natural skin tones with appropriate brightness / contrast.

Visa Conditions

  • The Chile Consulate is strict about the presentation of applications. Including, but not limited to your passport validity or photo, if any documentation or material are incorrect then the consulate will reject the application. In this case, the customer will incur any urgent processing fees or tour cancellation costs. Wendy Wu Tours cannot accept responsibility for any failure in this respect.
  • Wendy Wu Tours has no control over Consular decisions to issue visas. Once your application is submitted, the Consulate may require you to pay additional fees or provide further documents, information, and/or material. In some cases, the Consulate will require the applicant to submit their passport and visa application forms in person.
  • It is very important that you read the instruction sheet carefully. Please ensure you dispatch visa documents before the due date. If you believe your visa application may be rejected, then contact the Visa Department.
  • A passport with a minimum of nine months validity, from the date of arrival in Chile is required for customers traveling to all countries in our programme. Visa fees are included for Australian passport holders in all fully inclusive group tours. Non-Australian passport holders will incur additional fees. In some cases, we may not be able to process your visa and you may be required to present in person at the local embassy or consulate.
  • Visa applications are due into Wendy Wu Tours no later than 75 days prior to departure. Please notify your travel agent or Wendy Wu Tours if you cannot make the deadline or choose to arrange your own visas.
  • Visa applications will generally not be accepted within 65 days prior to departure.
  • Unless otherwise requested, your e-Visa will be returned with final documentation approximately 2 – 3 weeks prior to your departure date.
