Bhutan Travel Permit

All Wendy Wu tours to Bhutan include the Bhutan permit/visa processing fee.

There is no consular representation in Australia; So Wendy Wu Tours will forward information to our local partners who will process the permit.

A Bhutan visa clearance letter can only be issued 7-10 days prior to entry to Bhutan. This is not your permit/visa; it is a document showing you have applied for one. The Bhutan permit will be stamped in your passport upon arrival in Bhutan, either overland or upon arrival into Paro International Airport.

A printed copy of the Bhutan visa clearance letter must be provided at the check-in counter prior to your flight to Paro. If you are not travelling to Bhutan on a Wendy Wu Escorted Group Tour, you will need access to your emails and a printer in the 7 days prior to travel to Bhutan.

Bhutan Permit Application Checklist:

We do not require any pre-filled forms, however we do require:

  • A coloured copy/scan of your passport information page - black and white copies will not be accepted. Your passport must have at least six months' validity remaining.
  • 1 x coloured copy/scan of an original passport size photo per person (standard size is 6cm high x 4cm wide) taken within the last 6 months (that is, it cannot match your passport photograph unless your passport has been renewed in the last 6 months  )
  • Land only bookings - full flight itinerary

Travel insurance, while no longer a requirement for obtaining the travel permit, is still strongly recommended.

Please email the above to operationssupport@wendywutours.com.au no later than 75 days before departure.
